I know what you’re thinking, “What is a Modern Woman and why are podcasts such a big deal these days?” I am here to explain it all and tell you exactly how I use podcasts daily to help get inspired, become motivated, or relax and unwind after a busy day. Now for the Modern Woman part.
A Modern Woman is someone who is confident, compassionate, and dynamic. She can stand on her own two feet and pursues her dreams without hesitation. She fights for what she deserves and doesn’t back down from a challenge. Trust me, this used to not be me. The future used to scare me and I always felt my dreams might be too far out of reach. Then I discovered the magic of podcasts and my world has been changed.
Whether you listen to these when you get ready in the morning, on your drive to and from work, while you clean, or any time you need some time alone, here are a few podcasts I feel every modern woman should have in her library.
Scrubbing in with Becca Tilley and Tanya Rad. I discovered this podcast about 4 months after it went live, meaning I had a lot of binge listening to get to! These two ladies are who introduced me to the term Modern Woman and what it means to be one in today’s society. If you are familiar with the Bachelor franchise, you might remember Becca. Her sidekick Tanya is on the morning radio show with Ryan Seacrest and both have amazing and hilarious stories! I mean this podcast won a People’s Choice Award so its worth listening to!
Whine Down with Jana Kramer. Listen up, this one is not for the faint of heart. Jana is very opinionated and here lately has been pushing the limits but I am GLUED to her podcast. She keeps it real and her husband joins her most weeks. They use the podcast as sort of a “couples therapy” session which can make it rather uncomfortable but its entertaining. Her guests have been amazing and opened my eyes to new views of the world. Highly recommend this one!
Goal Digger Podcast. I am convinced that Jenna Kutcher is my spirit animal. She knows how to keep it real and straight forward while still delivering amazing content. If you are an entrepreneur or own your own business this podcast is for you! While I tend to pick and choose the episodes I listen to as they don’t all apply to me, I have taken away some pretty amazing tips to apply to my life and this blog from Jenna. Not to mention she just gave birth to the CUTEST little girl ever after a rough TTC journey.
RISE and RISE Together Podcasts. If you are a fan of Girl, Wash Your Face, these are your podcasts! The RISE podcast is similar to the Goal Digger podcast as it provides resources for small business owners or #bossbabes. The RISE Together Podcast is something Rachel and her husband started last year and focuses all on relationships and marriage. It is real life and showcases the “not so good” side of marriage and making life work with someone else. I love this podcast because I have been able to apply some of their advice to my own marriage. Rachel Hollis is just an amazing person and I love listening to her voice so I am glad she has two amazing podcasts out there!
These are just a few of the podcasts I listen to that provide me with something more than just entertainment. I look forward to my drive to and from work because I truly feel like all of these women are friends. Sometimes I laugh so hard I probably look like and idiot in my car! Let me know if you check any of these podcasts out and what you think!
